Konigsberg Castle

Kaliningrad Cathedral is a landmark landmark of the 14th century, built in the brick Gothic style and located on the island of Kanta. Founded in 1333, the cathedral was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt only in the 1990s.

Today it serves as a cultural and religious center, housing Lutheran and Orthodox chapels, as well as the grave of Immanuel Kant. Inside there is a museum dedicated to the philosopher and the history of the city.

The cathedral is famous for its unique organ complex and concert hall.

The Museum of the World Ocean

Located on Peter the Great Embankment, it is an extensive complex of buildings, outdoor areas and museum ships. The exhibition consists of aquariums, collections of shells, a sperm whale skeleton (the largest in Russia), as well as vessels such as the Vityaz research vessel, the B-413 submarine, the Cosmonaut Viktor Patsaev communications vessel, the SRT-129 fishing vessel and the Rinderort Lighthouse.

Price: For adults – 300 rubles, for students and pensioners – 200 rubles, for children under the age of sixteen and beneficiaries – free of charge.

Murarium Cat Museum in Zelenogradsk

Zelenogradsk is a city whose informal symbol is cats. Residents of the city treat their furry inhabitants with love, as evidenced by the annual "Birthday of the Zelenograd cat" and even the existence of the position of "cat chef" responsible for the welfare of cats. Vending machines with cat food are installed in the city, and a walk through the streets of Zelenogradsk will allow you to see a lot of cat sculptures, houses and even a feline traffic light. The highlight of the feline trip will be a visit to the Cat Museum.

The Cat Museum is located in a 1905 water tower and offers visitors an inspection of Zelenogradsk from the height of the observation deck. The three floors of the tower, connected by a spiral staircase (elevator access), house an extensive collection of more than 4,500 exhibits: paintings, figurines, dolls, toys and souvenirs from around the world. The collection includes unique sculptures by famous Russian and foreign authors, musical cats, a telephone cat and many household items made in a feline theme - from Egyptian cats to Japanese mascots.

Address: Kaliningrad region, Zelenogradsk, 2A Saratovskaya St., next to the boutique hotel "Paradox" and the Museum of Skulls and Skeletons. There is free parking for all guests and museum visitors.

Price: 400 rubles (adult) and 300 rubles (children under 13 years old or retired).

Brandenburg Gate 

Built in 1657. They are one of the few preserved parts of the city wall and a symbol of the city. The gate is made in the Baroque style and consists of three arches decorated with sculptures and coats of arms. Currently, they are located in the center of Kaliningrad and serve as a popular tourist attraction, as well as a place for cultural events. The Brandenburg Gate embodies the rich history of the city and its architectural heritage.
